Okay, ladies. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but summer is going to get here soon.
If you are like me, you want to flaunt your bad-self all over the neighborhood pool in your bikini. I'm soooo kidding. That's the last thing I want to do; besides, I really don't want to give anyone nightmares.
Bikini aside, I would like to wear shorts from time to time. Long walking shorts, of course. My legs are not quite suitable for public consumption. Even if I did get them thinner, there would still be that sticky situation of how pale they are.
(One of my friends used to say her legs looked like mayonnaise. Isn't that gross?
Someone also once asked my dad if he had been soaking in bleach all winter. I thought that one was pretty funny.)
Either way, that's an issue I'll have to figure out when the time comes. Until then, I really need to focus on trimming 'em down. At least a little, because let's be honest here.
I'll probably just wear capri-pants for the sake of anyone around me.
But I'll feel like a supermodel after I have this smoothie. It really is good. Like, really, really good. Like I SWEAR YOU CANNOT TASTE THE SPINACH GOOD. I actually crave one of these if I haven't had one in a few days. Isn't that crazy? It is CRAZY GOOD.
Green Smoothie - Non-Dairy
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1/2 cup canned coconut milk
2-3 cups fresh spinach
1 frozen banana
1 T. almond butter
(protein scoop, maca powder, flax seeds....whatever you want can go in at this time also)
water, if necessary
Directions:
Pour the coconut milk in the blender first. Then add the spinach, frozen banana and almond butter. The banana will help weigh the spinach down in order to blend well.
Put your blender on high and watch the magic happen! If the smoothie looks a little too thick, just add a splash of water to thin it out.
